Another day on the road:   First thing this morning we found an AutoZone and bought the only two clear 3/8" gas filters they had.  I installed one of them to replace the blocked metal one installed yesterday.  When I dumped that one, no debris came out, but with the new one, we ran all day with no problem; there's no sign of debris in the new filter.  MAYBE the problem is solved.

After a few hours on I-40 with all the trucks, we reached the western limit of Dallas about the time we finally got Charles Wersal on the 'phone.  He directed us to Joe Pool Lake, Cedar Hill State Park, for the night.  It's a nice campground and we're backed up almost to the water's edge.  A little expensive at $25 + $5 per vehicle, but worth it to avoid WalMart noise. :-)

After getting parked, we wandered all over the town of Cedar Hill hunting a parts store to replace the gas cap we lost today.  Never found one!  We'll find one on the 'net tonight for tomorrow.  This town is PACKED with fast-food franchises -- and all other kinds.  Worse than anywhere I've seen before; there's almost nothing independent.  But GPS did find us a very good steak house (Saltgrass Steak House).  Sirloin and Prime Rib were excellent.

We plan to visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing tomorrow http://www.moneyfactory.gov/tours/fortworthtxtours.html
I want to see, in person, the destruction of the economy by massive inflation ("Quantitative Easing").  :-(

Y'All Come Again!
